7-14-08 N and J went to their first dental visit! And it was even more special because Dr. Mel Chun was our dentist! We got to go to her newly bought practice, too! How exciting for her, huh?!? And to top things off, both boys were decay free!!

boy was it HOT and STICKY!! but i thought it was well worth it. it forced all of us to stay indoors and talk, eat, talk, eat and do some quality bonding. but can you believe it? even though it was about 1000 degrees, the husbands still went golfing! and of course, the next day, the wives went to the spa and got our massages.and what did our little boys do? they swam, swam, swam! overall, a great fourth of july!
gosh... what have i been up to???? i feel as though all the wonderful and painful memories of my boys' childhood are just slipping away!! blogging was my only form of diary and for some reason i'm just simply not that into it! but i'm paying 5 bucks a month for this site so i'm forcing myself to write something right now. heehee! sometimes i'm such a cheapo!! so sad to say this, but the thought of wasting 5 bucks is kinda making write something!! hahahahaha that's pretty pathetic, elena!
well, it's saturday night. the boys are sound asleep. danny's on call. and i'm home alone. nobody over. just me. kinda nice actually because i'm really behind with my work... oh! (well, just for the DENJ record) i started this kinda new position at work. i'm the nicu eye nurse now. no more bedside nursing! yahoo! not that taking care of 2 lb premie babies was such hard laboring work but it's nice to do something different. i do a lot more paperwork and coordinating eye exam appts and such. thus, i can take some of my work home and do it when the boys are sleeping. it's nice because my work hours are a lot more flexible but i'm still getting used to the whole "working at home" kind of thing. the one thing i loved about work when i graduated from school was that, once i'm done with work, i can come home and just do my own thing. but during school, you always have homework and studying to do and i really hated that because it would always hinder with your daily life. now you can imagine how horrible of a student i was! anyway, i'm back to doing "homework" again. but at least i get paid a little for it. heehee
anyhoo, that's one new thing that's going on these days. oh! another thing i'm excited about is danny has officially entered his LAST year of fellowship!! yahoo!!! (times a hundred!!!) i'm excited to wonder about where we will be next year! he is starting to look for "real" jobs here and there... it's just so weird to think that he's gonna not be in some sort of a residency! i guess we're at the age now. a lot of our friends are finishing and entering the real world these days! very exciting! and i'm so happy for all of them!
okay, now i'll end with an update with my darling boys. wow!! they're getting really energetic and crazy! they love to copy each other's actions, words, behavior, everything! they also have to have the same exact thing, too! same color, size, etc... why is that? oh! i have a question... does any parent out there have a secret way to reduce or stop whining? how do you do it??? the whining can drive me up the wall!! BUT, i love them. heehee =D they will kiss me randomly now and say I love you. and that makes up for everything...

what's wrong with me??? where has my blogging mojo gone? good thing typepad is only 5 bucks a month or else i would really really feel even more guilty for not keeping up with my daily diary of DENJ. blogging has really helped me reflect upon my life and has allowed me to see how i've been doing things and etc...
but now, i'm going to have nothing to reflect back on! well, i'm going to blame it on one of my dearest and closest of friends. she's getting married this sunday! this long awaited event is soon to come! she's beaming and glowing like a bride should be! i'm just really excited for them! maybe my urge to post will come back after their special day...
anyway, these are some things that have been on my mind:
1. i want to really clean out my garage and organize it from top to bottom, so when my neighbors look in, they'll say..."wow!"
2. i am so sad the lakers lost to celtics by 39 points!!!! i feel so bad for kobe...so sad... so sad...
3. i took danny and the boys for the first time to the driving range for father's day and the funny thing is,
I want to take golf lessons again!
4. i wonder if i should be more "academic" with my boys... how come i don't have the urge or desire to make them learn the alphabet or numbers?
5. how much TV is too much TV for the toddlers?
6. how much sugar/salt is too much sugar for toddlers?
7. how should i change my exercise routine?
8. danny has one more year of fellowship...wow... just one more year!
9. oh my gosh... sharon and david are getting married in a couple of days!
10. my parents live too far away from us...
11. why am i such a complainer?
12. i really want to eat carl's junior criss cut fries with their house ranch sauce right now.
13. oh my gosh! it's 1:20 am! i should be sleeping...
14. i really need a haircut. my hair is waist long!
15. we're so lucky we have AC, b/c Loma LInda is still warm and it's 1:20 am!!
16. i'm 31 now... wow... that really doesn't sound young at all...
17. but i feel so undeserving of all the love and special things i got this year from all my beloved friends and husband. i love you all ...
18. J is going "potty" more and more in the "potty!" this is way too fast for me!
19. N has hair on his legs already! and that is also way to fast for me, too!
20. we're already half way through 2008! crazy!!
